We are working on new reports all the time, looking at new ways of combining and filtering the data you supply, we have got some basic charts and maps online for each species now (and a brand new species search tool on the right of this page) - it should be noted these sightings do currently include data from as early as 2004 when we first embarked on gathering data (for Matt's dissertation) - now that we are revived and back online obviously we will be introducing time frames to the sightings reports which will allow for the disappearance of species to be reported.
Available reports will include:
- Regional reports - showing species sighted within UK regions (e.g. North East), counties (e.g. Hertfordshire) and postcodes with maps and graphs showing trends
- Species reports - for a given species or species type (e.g. Birds, Mammals) we will be able to report on trends and correlations (e.g. how many birds were sighted in gardens with cats, how many hedgehogs were sighted in gardens with solid borders)
- Species combinations - showing the presence of companion species for a given species
We aim to make all of these reports live by the end of June 2011 - stay tuned and if you are interested in hearing about when the reports are online why not follow us on Twitter where announcements are made - we can be found at http://twitter.com/ecocentrus
