About

A website to enhance community, biodiversity & community cohesion. To act as an aid to precision planning. Promoting Urban Permaculture. Where the internet brings us back to earth. Created in partnership by Web-developer Alistair Macdonald and Landscape gardener Matt Morton.

This site was primarily to form the basis for Matt's final project at Oxford Brookes University , the data collected was used to write his Dissertation 2004

The survey was conceived by Matt and the programming, design and hosting is by Ali.

We hope to grow the site beyond Matt's project and create a community of garden users who can share information about their gardens and local areas with each other, and together learn more about local Biodiversity. To develop it much further we will need some funding for the purchase of data sets necessary to provide a true GIS using maps and aerial photographs as a primary form of navigation, we live in hope!
